The Multicultural Greek Council (MGC) is the governing body for culturally-based fraternity and sorority chapters at The Pennsylvania State University.

Welcome to the Pennsylvania State Multicultural Greek Council website! The MGC is the governing council that oversees the 8 Multicultural Greek chapters and promotes the prosperity and unity of these cultures. We serve as a platform to empower these communities and provide these students with the resources needed to further educate the Penn state community on multiculturalism.  We embrace our community’s diversity and uniqueness by staying in touch with Black caucus, APIDA Caucus, MENA Caucus, and Latino Caucus. MGC’s goal are to: 

 

1. Provide unity amongst ourselves and the Penn State community as a whole.

2. Educate and engage students and members about multiculturism.

3. Provide a voice for multicultural Greeks and organizations.  

4. Maintain a structured and organized council to ensure the proper support needed for chapters.  

5. Increase the presence of the multicultural community.

Being a member of the multicultural Greek council provides an opportunity to surround oneself with people of unique and different backgrounds. Through this environment, members are able to become leaders in their respective communities and become more open-minded. Through this open-mindedness and understanding, one can truly connect and bring people together. The experiences you will gain from these circles is one that will lead to an extended family. Whichever council you choose to join, I wish you prosperity in your future goals.
